Is there an anxiety attack cure? According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), anxiety attacks are classified under anxiety disorders.

40 million Americans (adults 18 and up), which is 18% percent of people in the United States experience the pain of an anxiety disorder.

Anxiety attacks often coincide with depressive disorders or substance abuse, and most people with one anxiety disorder also have another anxiety disorder.  Almost 75% of those with an anxiety disorder will have their first episode by the time they reach 21 years of age.
